as i child i didnt watch tv... because we didnt have cable and i am so thankful for that because it made us go outside to play!!! today... kids are glued to the tv, video games, gameboys... and the family is so caught up with technology that they forget what's going on outside.
media has a huge impact on famlies/relationships... think of all the reality tv shows that are about young married couples... think of all the ones that got a divorce???britney, jessica. the blink guy, that hogan man... with the beard... the media is breaking up family unity and the the importance of marriage and family. Tiger woods is the latest coverage of how the media and money... leads to cheating with other people, possibly leading to divorce. we get so caught up in what the famous people... and their lives... but we need to focus on ours... more that 50% of peoples marriages end in divorce... and i thing the media effects it in huge way. kids are more violent from watching tv and games... they are inside and would rather watch tv than go outside... online dating is another example to where media effects relationships... people cant go out and meet people, they create profiles and meet people while sitting at their computer at home... what happened to face to face contact??? the world is a crazy place.... try to not get caught up in it... lets just go back the old ways of life... simple and wholesome!!
